Electronic Prescription Service Release 2 (EPS2)
Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) Release 2 (EPS2) is an NHS England programme allowing prescribers to send prescriptions electronically to a dispenser (such as a pharmacy) of the patient's choice. This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for patients and staff.
Important - All EPS functionality is disabled if the patient is unlinked with the PDS system, for example, you have not logged in with your Smartcard or the NHS Spine is down.
