Activities of Daily Living Guidelines

There are two guidelines for Activities of Daily Living which appear under the Guidelines tab of all the Community Views (see Community Views Patient Record):

• Activities of Daily Living - Patient Information - Display of previously recorded patient information (Mnemonic: adlrep) - Domestic Activities of Daily Living (eg ability to perform catering, cleaning, shopping etc), Leisure and Community Activities of Daily Living (eg ability to travel etc), and Personal Activities of Daily Living (eg bowels, bladder etc)
• Activities of Daily Living - Data Entry Index - Data entry of new information (Mnemonic: adl, and embedded within it, adl_2)

The guideline adl_2 is the Barthel Index - Personal Activities of ADL.
