Example Using Tests All Filter

Suppose you want a guideline to show you the last test result which has no qualifier.

Make sure you select the Test Results -All and Add. Click on the Filter button. Select criteria from the Result qualifier picklist which is used on numeric test results (low, high, very high etc) - you can select all of these to exclude them (select all with Control-click then click on Not Equals, then OK), but the problem is there are other tests which are included in the data that is included with this filter which use a different picklist (eg, Normal/Abnormal/Potentially Abnormal). 

You can work around this by editing the filter manually.  Edit the data filter and, assuming you have selected "Not equals to any of the existing picklist entries,  you should see the   following at the foot of the screen.  

QUALIFIER <> "TST006 " AND QUALIFIER <> "TST002 " AND QUALIFIER <> "TST004 "   AND QUALIFIER <> "TST003 " AND QUALIFIER <> "TST008 " AND QUALIFIER <>   "TST007 " AND QUALIFIER <> "TST001 " AND QUALIFIER <> "TST005 "  

Position your cursor at the end of this text and append the following:   AND QUALIFIER <> "N/A001 " AND QUALIFIER <> "N/A002 " AND QUALIFIER <>   "N/A003 "   After making these amendments, click Apply - this is important or your manual changes will not be saved.  Click OK.

You should find that your filter now displays all tests with blank entries from either picklist and excludes the others.
