Right Mouse Options in Design Mode/Maintenance
If you point to a line within a guideline in Design mode/Maintenance and click with the right mouse, you have the following options:
- Edit - Make changes to existing lines
- Font - Font type, style, size and colour can be set for the selected line. Even lines of the same category can have individual settings. See Guidelines/Reports Design - Font and background colour.
- Background Colour - The background colour be set for each line.
Note - Some backgrounds may make the text appear in a block. See Guidelines/Reports Design - Font and background colour.
- Properties - See Properties (Levels, Indents, Selectable)* - The properties of each line can be set individually. The Level will determine whether specific lines listed under a sub-heading can be hidden or expanded by clicking on the sub-heading. Initially expanded lines will be shown when the guideline is first opened.
Note - This setting makes no difference on printed reports which will always include all lines. Level 1 entries must be initially expanded to allow Level 2 headings underneath to be initially expanded as well. Selectable lines can be highlighted and printed individually.
- Increase /Decrease Font Size - These options reduce or increase the font size quickly.
- Category Defaults (see Guidelines/Reports Design - Defaults) - Two options - Get Category Defaults and Save as category defaults. Font, Background colour and the settings for Initially Expanded, Word Wrap and Selectable are all specific to each category (eg Patient Data, Sub-heading, Text etc), and are saved in a default file.
Note - Level and Indent are not saved as category defaults.
Get Category Defaults - this enables you to reset the selected line to the default settings.
Save as category defaults - This lets you save the changes made to an individual line as a new default
Note - This will affect all existing guidelines with these lines as well, ie any existing guidelines where the lines have not been changed from the default settings will display the changes made. It is therefore advisable to use this feature with great caution.
- Add - Functions available from the Floating Toolbar in Design Mode:
- Delete - Once a line has been added to a guideline, it can be deleted by highlighting it and clicking on the button on the floating toolbar; or by right mouse click and select Delete.
- Plan Header (see Header - Guidelines and Reports) - The header is initially set for a new or copied guideline. It can be updated at any time to change the mnemonic or description, add or update triggers, or make the guidelines or report into an index.
