District Nursing View and Health Visiting Views

The District Nursing or Health Visiting Views have tabs for Appointments, Patient Select, Patient Details and thentabs specifically for district nurses: Shared Information - Details, Shared Information - Data Entry, ADL Patient Details, ADL Data Entry, and then depending on whether you have selected District Nursing or Health Visiting, a data entry guideline of District Nursing or Health Visiting.

By default, the Patient Record opens at the Appointments tab as presumably you want to select patients from your appointment list.

Each view has an left-hand Alerts pane giving details of various factors such as CVD risk, immunisations due, recalls due etc.

The Patient Select and Patient Details tabs are standard tabs on the Patient Record.

However, the other tabs are specific to patient record views for community staff:

• ADL Patient Details - Display of previously recorded patient information (Mnemonic: adlrep) - Domestic Activities of Daily Living (eg ability to perform catering, cleaning, shopping etc), Leisure and Community Activities of Daily Living (eg ability to travel etc), and Personal Activities of Daily Living (eg bowels, bladder etc)
• ADL Data Entry - Data entry of new information (Mnemonic: adl, and embedded within it, adl_2). The guideline adl_2 is the Barthel Index - Personal Activities of ADL.
• Shared Information - Details - Display of previously recorded patient information (Mnemonic: commshrep): Significant Medical History, Next of Kin, Carer Details, Ethnicity, language, Interpreter, Employment, Communication Ability, Agencies, Current Medication, Allergies, Home Environment, At Risk Register, Special Concerns.
• Shared Information - Data Entry - Data entry of new information (Mnemonic: commshare). Includes the above entries but Presenting Complaint as well.
