Editing Acute Medication Service (AMS) Items

When acute medication items have been sent via Acute Medication Service (AMS), it is possible to amend the following medication details:

• Quantity
• Prescriber Endorsements
• Dosage (instructions for use)
• Preparation (prescribed units)

An amendment reason records and a prescription amendment message sent.

To edit details of an AMS item:

1. From Consultation Manager, select the patient required.
2. Select Therapy.
3. Highlight the item required, right click and select Edit.
4. Make the required changes and then select OK to save and close.
5. The Prescription Amendment Reason screen displays, select the reason for the edit and add any comments required in Additional text (max 350 characters).
   Note - Additional text is mandatory if you select Other.
6. Select OK to save and close.
