Deleting e-Referral Service Unique Booking Reference Numbers (UBRN)

In order to stop unused UBRNs lingering on the system (ie where an e-Referral Service referral has been started but not completed and is no longer required), when you delete an e-Referral Service referral, the associated UBRN is also removed from the patient’s record. This allows you to have a view of only valid e-Referral Service referrals for the patient.

You can delete an e-Referral Service referral by either deleting the referral or RMD (Referral Message Digest - England) entry from Consultation Manager. The associated UBRN is removed from both entries in Consultation Manager when one of either entry is deleted.

Note - The UBRN still exists on the Spine so please remove it from your worklist on the e-Referral Service website.
