Contraceptive Services – Ways to Add

First select a patient and start a consultation.

To enter a contraception record, display the Contraception - Add screen – for details of the fields on this screen, see Contraceptive Services-Add Entries:

  • This most direct way to display the Contraception - Add screen is to select Add - Contraception.Alternatively, press the <ALT> key, then the letter A, then the letter C.
  • Or make an entry as part of multiple data entry - point to a Contraception entry on one of the screens listed below, clicking the right mouse button and selecting Add. You can also view a previous entry instead by selecting Item View, or if amending it, Edit.
  • From the navigation pane column on the PatientRecord, click on Lifestyle with the right mouse, and select either Management Plan, Summary or Data Grid, depending on whether you are using a Vision 3 view or the classic view. You can also right click on Well Person Clinic and select Summary Form on a classic view. On the tabbed form, change to the Smears / Contraception tab.
  • List - Contraception, if there are any previous Contraception records. Either right click and Item View, or on a classic view, the list shows the date of the record, READ description, the Service type (First Service, Subsequent Service, Service End), and the date any coil has been fitted, whether the contraceptive services were given in practice or out of practice, the recall date, the claim expiry date, whether an IOS claim, and the clinician.
  • Filter only the Contraception records by clicking once on the icon by either Lifestyle or Well Person Clinic on the MRO column. If there are any Contraception records, click once on the Contraception line, and view the records under the Filtered tab.
  • Select a Summary or Tabbed form, for example, Lifestyle, CV & BP Management, Female Health Check, Prevention Display.
  • From Options on MRO column (Consultation View), select either Management -Routine Checks - Female Health Check - Smears/Contraception tab; or select Lifestyle.
  • Select Prevention Display or Summary - Prevention Display.
