Midwives' READ Codes

Data entry by midwives can be made either from History-Add or Record on the top of the MRO column, Patient Record, or the Maternity Management Plan (see Maternity Care Data Entry screens).

To select from READ, either use # followed by the code, eg, #Z2, or type in a READ term keyword - these are in italics below.

• 67A3 Pregnancy smoking advice (smoking)
• 67B Ante-natal relaxation classes (antenatal, ante-natal, relaxation)
• 67C Post-natal support group (postnatal, post-natal)
• Z2 Pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium observations - And hierarchical codes Z21, Z22, Z23 etc.
• Z262 Placental observation
