This Guideline is Empty or After Relevant Filtering

You may see a message:

Guideline is empty – do you want to delete the plan?

Or alternatively,

After the relevant filtering has been performed for this patient, the guideline contains no information.

This could be a problem with the Guideline Index – it thinks it is empty and has no guidelines in it.

What you need to do is to create a new Guideline, and then embed all the other guidelines within this.

  1. From Select Guidelines, click on New.
  2. On the Header screen, make sure the box Main Index is checked. Call the new guideline something which identifies it as the guideline index. Category should be Local Guideline.
  3. Once the new Guideline screen is shown in Maintenance mode, click on Sub-Heading and again, make sure the Main Index box is checked.
  4. Now embed every guideline you want included in the Index by clicking on Embed , then selecting each guideline from the Select Guideline screen.
  5. Save the screen and exit.
