Consultation View

The Consultation View screen summarises the data entries made for a particular consultation. It is an additional way of arranging data and is entirely optional. The Consultation View pane is present on:

Vision 3 Patient Record view - Initial view 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Data within a consultation can, if necessary, be arranged in problems under one or more topics. Topics are only parts of a consultation and do not carry over into future consultations (see Topics). The topic heading will be the first entry made under this topic, or the first diagnosis within the topic.

The Consultation View screen may well be the working screen from which a GP enters consultation data. The alternative problem-oriented approach groups data into problems which are continued over time (this is described in more detail in Problem Oriented Medical Records.
