The following changes are new to DLM 350:
New Stroke Risk and CVD Risk Calculators
- The Frammingham risk calculator has until now been the only Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) and Stroke Risk Calculator within Vision. From DLM 350, There are now 3 additional risk calculators to choose from in Consultation Manager:
- ASSIGN – a cardiovascular risk score developed in Dundee University, Scotland in 2006.
- QRISK – a cardiovascular risk score developed by Julia Hippisley-Cox at the University of Nottingham.
- CHADS2– a measure of stroke risk for patients with atrial fibrillation.

Advanced Label Design
- The new Advanced Label Printing option brings the following additional functionality to Drug Label Design:
- You can now manage Monitored Dosage Systems (MDS) labelling.
- Labels can now have larger text for patients with poor eyesight.
- You can now print practice definable label warnings and instructions.
- You now have more control over the number of labels required.

Preview Pane for Drug Labels
- DLM 350 brings a new Preview option for drug labels. This allows you to view labels before they are printed, change number of labels for each item, view if the labels are for Monitored Dosage System trays, view mandatory cautions and add practice defined cautions. See Preview Dispensing Label.
Electronic Test Requesting
- As well as ICE and tQuest, Vision now integrates with Technidata electronic test requesting systems. See Electronic Test Requests.
Display NHS/CHI/H+C Number
- There is a new option to display NHS, CHI or H+C number in the Title Format section of Consultation – Options – Setup – General. Once this is selected, the relevant patient number displays in the Consultation Manager title bar. See Consultation Options Setup.
Prevention Display
- Target Blood Pressure -In response to user requests the Target Blood Pressure is now visible alongside Blood Pressure on Summary - Prevention Display.
- Peak Flow and Pulse Rate are now displayed on the Prevention Display screen.
Recall Change
- From DLM 350, when a recall is entered with Read code which is not mapped to any SDA (mapped to General History by default), it now auto-completes any previous recall with exactly the same code.
Label Trace
- The Label Trace icon has now been changed to .
England - EPS Release 2 – Phase 3
- The following changes have been made to full EPS 2 functionality:
- Controlled Drug Changes - All users can now see in the Options-Setup screen from the front screen of Vision, if schedule 2 & 3 and private prescribing are enabled for EPS 2.
- Cancellation Changes
You can now view rejected and cancel failed prescriptions in the bulk signing view - rejections tab.
You can now access the cancellation reason, dispenser and dispenser telephone number from Prescription Manager.
- Bulk Signing changes
- F9 to Sign - You can now press F9 to sign selected prescription(s) in the workflow list.
- Urgent Prescriptions - Prescriptions marked as urgent are now displayed at the top of the selected patient’s drug list in the bulk signing screen with the following urgent icon: .
- Prescriptions displayed oldest first - The order of prescriptions in the patient drugs to sign in the bulk signing screen is now ordered oldest prescription first rather than alphabetical order.
- Edit Additional Instructions – You can now select Edit Additional Instructions from the bulk signing screen after a prescription has been sent to change information for the dispenser.

Northern Ireland - Electronic Referrals
For practices in Northern Ireland, there is now access to SCI Gateway via Summary – CCG. You can also add a CCG tab to your Consultation Manager tab set. See SCI Gateway/CCG - Referral and Discharges.
Scotland - Scottish Cervical Cytology Recall System (SCCRS)
- SCCRS Recall Advice - SCCRS Recall Advice - A "Refer for Colposcopy" code has been added to the current SCCRS recall advice codes.
Wales – Welsh Clinical Communication Gateway
- WCCG referral from floating toolbar – You can now trigger a referral by dragging and dropping your history entry onto the referral icon in the floating toolbar.
Structured Data Area (SDA) Changes
We have also changed, added and removed some Read codes and data entry options from existing SDA picklists.
- Test Results - We have added a value, unit of measure and normal range fields to numerous test result SDAs. See Test SDA Changes - DLM 350.
- Lung Function – The result value for 339a. Lung function before bronchodilation and 339b. Lung function after bronchodilation, can now be recorded to two decimal places.
- Drug Allergy and Intolerance – To prevent inaccurate data recording, the severity and certainty boxes on the drug allergy screen default to empty. See also SDA Read code removal and additions.
- Maternity - To save confusion between recording maternal details and infant details, three of the Maternity SDA’s have been renamed to the following:
- Delivery Details – Mother
- Pregnancy Outcome – Mother
- Infant Details – Mother
- Absence of Condition in Guidelines – Absence of Condition data display in guidelines is now clearly marked.
