Current Recalls and DLM 280

Upon receipt of DLM 280:

  • All recalls added prior to DLM 280 with a Recall Due Date which is not yet due or within 3 months of the due date will be given a status of Outstanding and active. These will trigger recall alerts.
  • All recalls added prior to DLM 280 with a Recall Due Date (not recall setup date) older than 3 months are automatically made Outstanding but inactive. For example, for a 5 year smear recall whose due date is older than 3 months, upon receipt of 280, is still outstanding and accessible, but is inactive and does not trigger any outstanding recall prompts.

In effect, the only impact that this will have on your system is that inactive outstanding recalls will not be included in the outstanding recall alerting process in Consultation Manager. Inactive outstanding recalls are not displayed in the Journal. They can be filtered from the navigation pane via Recalls - Inactive Recalls.

After receiving DLM 280, any recalls added after DLM 280 where the duedate surpasses three months will remain outstanding and active and generate Outstanding Recall prompts.
