Copy Part of Report

With a patient report displayed on screen, you can copy patient record lines using Copy on the Toolbar. This will put the copied text on to a clipboard.

1. First highlight the line or lines to be copied - move the cursor to the line to be copied, so that it is framed with dashed lines above and below, or highlighted in blue; or highlight and select several lines by holding down the Shift to block a section; or Control key and clicking on lines to highlight them.
2. Click Copy .
3. Use Alt-Tab to switch to the application where you want to paste, for example, Notepad, and use the Edit/Paste option.

   Note - That you cannot copy lines that are not selectable (see Report and Guidelines Maintenance). Clicking on non-selectable lines, such as a sub-heading line, either expands or collapses it, so it cannot be selected by clicking. Selectable lines are those lines with no lower level lines under them (no children lines). Patient records are often selectable lines.
