Auto Selection Options

This Options button relates to the e-Referral service Referral Message Digest (it did previously also relate to SCR, however this functionality was removed at the request of NHS Digital). You can choose which data from a patient's record populates the summary of their record which is sent with an e-Referral. The options are on a practice wide basis and not an individual one.

The Auto Selection Options screen can also be reached from List - Default Referrals and Requests - Options tab, then click on the Options button. This does not require a patient record to be open.

A third way to access this Options screen requires a patient record to be open - right click on a Referral Message Digest and select Options.

On the Auto Selection Options screen, the left-hand pane lists the various criteria you can tick if you want that data to be included in the Referral Message Digest. Then in the right-hand pane, tick the relevant box Link to auto-selected items. You can also use Select All in the left-hand pane, then deselect the one or two you do not want. Clear Selections removes all ticks. If all items are unchecked, then the RMD will be blank.

For the e-Referral service Referral Message Digest, you can also tick Link to items in the referral'sconsultation if you want data from the current consultation also to be included in the Referral Message Digest.
