Structured Data Areas
A Structured Data Area (SDA) is a data entry form in Consultation Manager containing data entry fields specific to the selected Read code for example, the SDA for the Blood Pressure Read codes contains boxes to enter systolic and diastolic recordings.
Using SDAs makes it easier to record appropriate data, filter information when accessing the patient record and retrieve data when performing searches and audits. Because of this, clinical data is stored in structured data areas where available, for example Test Results, Asthma Register, Cervical Cytology, rather than a generalised Medical History.
Simply complete the SDA as appropriate and select OK.
See Consultation Manager Setup - Patient Record for details on triggering SDA's .
