• New Intranasal Influenza Read codes - To correspond with the October Read dictionary, the Read codes for Intranasal Influenza are now:
  • 65ED1 00 Administration of first intranasal seasonal influenza vaccination
  • 65ED3 00 Administration of second intranasal seasonal influenza vaccination
• Intranasal Influenza - Conversion from Medical History to Immunisation SDA - Due to the delay with DLM 450 which contains a new Method of "Intranasal" for paediatric flu administration, on receipt of DLM 455, all previous intranasal influenza medical history entries with the Read codes 65EE0 or 65ED1 00 (1st Administration of Intranasal influenza vaccination respectively)and 65EE or 65ED3 00 (2nd Administration of Intranasal influenza vaccination respectively) will be automatically converted to the immunisations SDA with the following codes:
  • 65ED1 00 Administration of first intranasal seasonal influenza vaccination
  • 65ED3 00 Administration of second intranasal seasonal influenza vaccination.

  The following additional information will be populated within the Immunisation SDA for each converted intranasal influenza:

  • Status - Given
  • Due date - Completed automatically where appropriate
  • In Practice - In this practice
  • Reason - Routine
  • Free text - Completed with free text entered within the Medical History entry
  • Batch Number - Taken from free text if present
  • Method - Intranasal
