Investigations, Maternity Care

• Either from the Maternity Caresummary form, click on the tab marked Investigations.
• Or on the Management Plan, click on the Investigations line.

Click on Skip To if you have no entry to make in a screen; this will then present the next screen.

Ultrasound - The READ term is 62G.. 00 Antenatal ultrasound scan. In ResultQualifier, the default is<None> but you can choose Normal, or Abnormal. Enter an Estimated Size in weeks, and an estimated delivery date in EDD date.

Blood Group - default in Blood Group is <None>, but choose from A, A+, A-, B, B+, B-, O, O+, O-, AB, AB+, AB-, Rhesus +, Rhesus -.

Blood Antibodies - In Result Qualifier, you may choose <None>, Negative, or Positive.

Alpha-feto protein - Enter a Value (the default units are iu/L(, and the weeks of gestation.

Amniocentesis - Normal or abnormal.

Haemoglobin - on the Summary – Investigations form, enter any Haemoglobin result.

Iron Studies

Rubella Test - On the Management Plan, you can enter the Rubella Test results – negative, positive.

Ante-natal blood Tests - Choice of READ codes (62W, 62H-62M, 62U, 62W)

Urinalysis Glucose and Protein - See Ante-Natal .
